Virtual Sydney 3D Model

Regional Development Australia Sydney and AAM have been developing a “whole of metropolitan Sydney” online Virtual Sydney 3D Model. It is with pleasure that we announce this product was officially launched on Monday 20th November 2017 by the Hon. Paul Fletcher MP Minister for Urban Infrastructure.

As a key economic development advisory group, we believe the model will be of particular interest to the public and private sector in evaluating strategic infrastructure, transport, and spatial land-use; current (and what-if scenario) long term planning and economic development; property business and investment location; and also by government as a tool for communicating with the public and potential investors. We encourage and welcome its use.

Virtual Sydney is a subscription service and provides online access via the GEOCIRRUS Platform to an extensive 3D model of the built environment of Sydney and its metropolitan precincts. The Virtual Sydney service also includes a variety of relevant overlays displayed in the GEOCIRRUS Viewer which provides an extensive suite of tools at the users’ disposal from the convenience of an Internet browser.
